CyberSocialCon 2022 Session
Over the past 5 months we’ve analyzed Twitter posts geo-located as originating from locations within the Ukraine. Using this source location of the posts we collected images, videos, emojis, and tweets. We then used this time and location data to perform chronolocation mappings of troop movements, tanks, damaged churches, and more. We then incorporated OSINT correlations to Facebook, Twitter, and Discord. This data allowed not only “boots on the ground” curated data, but also predictive analysis of where troops were moving next. In this session, we’ll explore the research and demonstrate the importance of GEO-OSINT data to emerging threats, people of interest, and situational awareness for not only wars, but natural disasters, events, outbreaks, and corporate geopolitical risks.
