Cybersecurity training startup Cyber Guru last week announced closing a $25 million Series B funding round that brings the total raised by the company to nearly $30 million.

The new investment round was led by Riverside Acceleration Capital, with additional support from Educapital and previous investors Adara Ventures and P101 Ventures.

The Rome, Italy-based firm offers a comprehensive security awareness training platform for organizations of all sizes, across all verticals, to help them educate employees, manage risks, and ensure compliance.

The platform relies on AI to provide advanced learning methodologies and automated training paths, optimizing learning processes and reinforcing cyber awareness to help employees recognize potential threats and respond appropriately to risks.

According to the company, the platform’s components are designed for high user engagement, delivering constant learning updates across the organization. It also offers a reporting system, providing organizations with visibility and control, allowing them to track progress and measure training success.

Founded in 2017, Cyber Guru has over 700 customers and says its platform is training more than 1 million users in 90 countries, aiming to transform their behavior to align with existing and emerging threats.

The company will use the new funding to accelerate its AI-driven contextual training roadmap and expand sales and marketing and go-to-market operations across Europe.

“Our mission is to improve an organization’s resistance to cyberattacks, by transforming user behavior. […] We’ve built a comprehensive security awareness training platform that is effective in managing and reducing human risk, and now we are poised to take this vision worldwide,” Cyber Guru founder and CEO Gianni Baroni said.
