Security data fabric and analytics startup Abstract Security today announced raising $15 million in a Series A funding round that brings the total raised by the company to $23.5 million.

The new investment round was led by Munich Re Ventures, with additional support from Crosslink Capital and Rally Ventures.

Founded in 2023, the California-based company offers data fabric, analytics, and data lake solutions that accelerate and improve threat detection, enable advanced data management, and enhance data routing.

Relying on an AI-powered assistant for centralized management of analytics, the platform correlates data to provide organizations with actionable insights for both compliance and data security.

Abstract Security says its solution can improve cloud visibility, optimize data streams, future-proof SIEM strategies, and lower costs, while also reducing complexities.

Furthermore, the startup enables customers to integrate security data and threat intel through the Abstract Intelligence Gallery marketplace, which features more than 100 integrations with top-tier security vendors.

The new funding round will allow Abstract to continue to grow and expand its presence on the security analytics and data fabric markets.

“Since Abstract’s inception, we have been laser-focused on linking security analytics to real business value. Our rapid customer growth is a testament to our ability to help organizations reimagine their security operations, integrating complex legacy tools and modern solutions to drive real outcomes,” Abstract CEO and co-founder Colby DeRodeff said.
